There are many times where people are not aware of all the help they have and the different ways that it can change their lives. I found some resources near me in Folsom, CA. There are many around the Sacramento area . There is also access to hotlines that can help when you jus need someone to talk to. I will list them below:

Self Care: Nourish your mind and body

It’s important to take care of yourself and to focus on what you want to do. Some things that you could do could be as simple as just taking a deep breathe! Here a few things that you can do:

  • Get a massage
  • Meditate for 5 minutes
  • Take a break
  • Exercise regularly
  • Eat a healthy snack
  • Go outside
  • Spend time with friends and family
  • Get enough sleep
  • Notice the positive
  • Keep a journal

I found this documentary on Youtube that really helps to uncover how people struggle with their mental health and the struggles that they face and how they live day by day.


How to support your friends and family

  • Understanding and showing compassion
  • Finding out if the person is receiving the right care
  • Letting them know that they have support and there are many ways they can seek for help
